PRIVACY POLICY

Your days stay yours.

LAST UPDATED · OCTOBER 9, 2026

Summary

Tidelog doesn't run servers that store your data, doesn't use analytics and doesn't sell or share anything. Your plans stay on your devices and in your iCloud, and your time goes only to the services you connect.

The app

What it stores

  • Templates, plans and time records, including block names and the tickets you chose. Stored on your Mac and synced through your private iCloud database, which only you can access.
  • Tokens and API keys for the services you connect. Stored in your Keychain and, if you use iCloud Keychain, synced by Apple end to end.
  • Preferences such as appearance and accent color, stored on your Mac.

What it doesn't do

  • No Tidelog account, and no Tidelog servers holding your data.
  • No analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking.
  • No crash reporting other than what you choose to share with developers through Apple.

Calendar and notifications

If you allow calendar access, Tidelog reads today's timed events from the calendars you choose to show them as fixed blocks. Events are read on your Mac and are not copied to iCloud by Tidelog or sent anywhere. Notifications are scheduled locally.

Services you connect

When you connect Clockify, Jira or Toggl Track, Tidelog talks to them directly from your Mac using your own token. It sends only what's needed to do what you asked:

  • reading your workspaces, projects, tasks or assigned issues so you can pick them;
  • creating, stopping or deleting time entries and worklogs, with start and end times, a description such as the ticket key and title, and any fields your workspace requires.

Those services handle that data under their own privacy policies. Disconnecting a service removes its token from your Keychain.

This website

  • Beta list. If you leave your email, it's stored to send you a beta invite and launch news. It isn't shared or sold, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
  • Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
  • No cookies or trackers. Fonts and scripts are served from this site; nothing is loaded from third parties.

Your choices

You can export or delete your Tidelog data by removing it in the app and in iCloud (System Settings › your name › iCloud). To have your beta email removed, write to hello@tidelog.app and it will be deleted within 30 days.

Children

Tidelog is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
